compared to its competitor, TomTom telematics.
One function of CarTrack includes real-time
vehicle tracking ability that allows the organisation to proactively locate and
dispatch their vehicles accordingly. In comparison, CarTrack’s competitor, TomTom
have a resembling function of gaining visibility of vehicles and managing the
operations intelligently. However, CarTrack has an additional customisable add the
function of installing an emergency button that will notify the helpdesk and
control room to be activated in case of any mishap to respond quickly to
customer emergencies. With this feature, you can immediately spot anything
unusual and identify the driving patterns within the business.
Another unique function of CarTrack is
the built-in navigation system that automatically detects road situation and
closure with increase accuracy that warns drivers when approaching a jam
location. CarTrack also added automatic road works detection on highways to
better predict approaching delays with a goal of improving route calculation
and estimation. In contrary, TomTom’s solution does not have such a function
and only rely on its navigation system to provide drivers with the best route
to their destination however not including real-time traffic analysis such as
traffic jams and road blockage.
Another feature of CarTrack consist
of in-depth training sessions held at various location to guide user on how to
operate the software, generate reports and manage the fleet to provide enhanced
customer service. However, TomTom does not have such a function to increase
customers’ satisfaction and retention. On top of that, CarTrack provides free
installation service, lifetime hardware warranty and offers a free software update
and upgrade for improvement thus shaping CarTrack to be a more affordable
solution for fleet management.
